Ellen Orchard runs Studio Orch, an illustration and print studio based in Waco, Texas focused on minimal and handmade design. As a landscape designer by day, she is inspired by the natural world, city skylines, and her tiny chihuahua, Ichabod. She has a love for simple and handmade art which she explores through both digital illustration and traditional linocut printing methods.

She creates a variety of linocuts that she draws, carves out of linoleum, and prints by hand with oil based inks. Ellen loves block printing with linoleum because of the tangible feel of the medium and the unpredictable end result. She leans into the messiness and imperfections that come from printing by hand which makes each piece she creates unique.

Her artwork is informed by all the places Ellen has lived around the world in places like London, Switzerland, and California. These beautiful places fueled her passion for adventure, natural design, and new perspectives.
